      Downtown Visalia also draws visitors from around the world, thanks to proximity to Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Parks

      Plaza Business Park
      Plaza Business Park is a first-class, master-planned destination that will feature office buildings and sites from 10,000 square feet to 100,000 square feet. It will include a 50,000-square-foot, 100-room hotel, convenient services such as restaurants, retail and gas station, and true Prairie-style architecture. The business park is characterized by lush landscaping with Fresno Pacific University’s new campus as its centerpiece.

Plaza Business Park is strategically located at the intersection of Highway 198 and Plaza Drive, which is a major route to Visalia’s Industrial Park, northern Tulare County and the national parks. The intersection is just east of Highway 99, a heavily traveled north-south artery through central California. Plaza Drive is expected to have 36,000 cars per day by 2010 and offers easy access to Visalia’s Industrial Park, with its 5,000 employees.

Plaza Business Park Environmental Features

  • Onsite stormwater retention and use of bioswales, pervious concrete, and more, reducing offsite storm water flows by 90%;
  • Water-efficient planting, resulting in a 50% reduction in water use;
  • Preferential treatment for carpools, vanpools, pedestrians, transit and bicycles, resulting in a reduction in vehicle trips of 15 percent;
  • Planting of over 1,000 trees and parking lot shade trees that will help reduce or eliminate “heat islands”;
